From 1955 to 1961, Miles Davis led an extraordinary small band that changed the course of jazz. The quintet/sextet primarily spotlighted tenor saxophonist John Coltrane, alongside such legendary musicians as alto saxophonist Cannonball Adderley; pianists Red Garland, Bill Evans, and Wynton Kelly; bassist Paul Chambers; and drummers Philly Joe Jones and Jimmy Cobb.

These nine tracks, spread across two LPs, collect highlights from some of the greatest albums in jazz history, including ‘Round About Midnight, Milestones, Someday My Prince Will Come, and the legendary Kind of Blue.
