The Mod scene emerged in the late ’50s and early ’60s and quickly became defined by a dual love of style and music. Though many genres and bands are associated with the Mod scene nowadays, in the early days it was all about black music – modern jazz and soul from America and Ska from Jamaica and the Caribbean. This compilation boasts a range of tracks from those heady days.
