To mark National Album Day 2026 and this year’s Icons theme, we’re celebrating Emeli Sandé’s landmark 2012 debut album, Our Version of Events. The record spent an extraordinary 66 consecutive weeks in the UK Official Albums Chart Top 10, setting a record for the longest unbroken Top 10 run by a debut album and surpassing the 62-week run of The Beatles’ Please Please Me.
