Equal parts playful and melancholic, Baxter Dury crafts a uniquely British world where wit and vulnerability share the same barstool. Released in 2011, Happy Soup is the critically acclaimed third album by English singer-songwriter Baxter Dury, featuring what he famously described as a sound of "seaside psychedelia". The record pairs Dury's droll, spoken-word observations and deadpan delivery with breezy, minimalist indie-pop arrangements and sweet backing vocals from singer Madelaine Hart.
