Originally released on CD in 2001 during the band's hiatus, this definitive compilation gathers 19 b-sides from their groundbreaking 4AD era (1988-1991), including iconic tracks like "Wave of Mutilation (UK Surf)", "Into The White", "Bailey's Walk", and "The Thing". This June 26, 2026 reissue arrives fully remastered from original analogue tapes by Kevin Vanbergen, breathing fresh life into these timeless recordings. Available for the first time on vinyl—pressed in double black and double clear editions—alongside a double CD version, the release features the original tracklist across three sides with a fourth vinyl side of bonus live tracks from latter-era Pixies singles, including the 1997 Debaser re-release. Designer Chris Bigg has created striking new artwork using previously unreleased photographs from Simon Larbalestier's archive, originally intended for the band but shelved decades ago. A companion to the recent Live at the BBC reissue, both projects honour the legacy of late visual director Vaughan Oliver, whose influence shaped the band's iconic aesthetic throughout their career.
