Blue For You (NAD 2026)

To celebrate National Album Day and the 2026 theme of ‘Icons’, Demon Records are proud to present the reissue of the Number One album Blue For You from Status Quo on it’s 50th anniversary, featuring the Top 10 singles ‘Rain’ and ’Wild Side Of Life’ plus ‘Mystery Song’.

Released as a 2LP in gatefold packaging pressed on Translucent Blue Vinyl, the album has been newly mastered by Andy Brook and Francis Rossi and includes demos, rarities and live tracks from the era along with a brand new Blue For You Q&A from Francis Rossi. 

This edition includes the album in full plus the non album B-side to ‘Rain’ (‘You Lost The Love’) along with the single edit of ‘Mystery Song’, the non album single ‘Wild Side of Life’ and it’s B-side ‘All Through The Night’. Also included for the first time on vinyl are some outstanding live tracks recorded in 1975 in Stoke along with demos of ‘Wild Side Of Life’ and ‘Honky Tonk Angel’. Blue For You the band’s ninth studio album cemented one of the most commercially successful and creatively significant chapters in the band’s long-running career and continues to resonate with fans worldwide.

The album was preceded by a sold out UK tour featuring multiple nights in London, Liverpool, Newcastle, Glasgow and Cardiff before the band took the album tour to the US and Europe. They then returned to the UK for the three infamous shows at Glasgow’s Apollo Theatre in October 1976 where they were to record what would become the incendiary ‘Live!’ album (with all three nights recently released by Demon/Edsel).
