As its title suggests, a companion-piece to \u003cem\u003eA Night At The Opera\u003c\/em\u003e in almost every sense: \"\u003cem\u003eGood Old-Fashioned Lover Boy\u003c\/em\u003e\" recalls the fey, music-hall spirit of the previous album's \"\u003cem\u003eLazing on a Sunday Afternoon\u003c\/em\u003e\", just as \"\u003cem\u003eWhite Man\u003c\/em\u003e\" echoes \"\u003cem\u003eThe Prophet's Song\u003c\/em\u003e\". \"\u003cem\u003eSomebody to Love\u003c\/em\u003e\", meanwhile, attempts to outdo even the grandiosity of \"\u003cem\u003eBohemian Rhapsody\u003c\/em\u003e\" - this time substituting the influence of American gospel for Italian opera, and allowing Mercury's diva inclinations to run riot.
